I’m going to outer-space. A dream, a far-fetched fantasy some may assume. An illusion that many before me have had, and many after me will continue to have. Yet, we’re entering times where what used to be the object of science fiction during the late XIX century, is ever closer of becoming a reality. As of the writing of these words, 563 people have been to outer-space, following the first cosmonaut, Soviet pilot Yuri Gagarin. These 563 astronauts have spent varying times floating above earth, with the record going to cosmonaut Gennady Padalka, who spent a total of 878 days…

Although the creation of life is still heavily debated, there is no doubt that for it to form, large amounts of concentrated energy were required, hence, one of the most popular theories is that it was formed at the bottom of the ocean, in the surroundings of hydrothermal vents where seeps of heated, mineral-rich water-vapor provided the necessary ingredients for life. We thus can appreciate the impact energy has in everything that we today define to be alive. Still, the limits of energy lay far beyond the concept of life.

One of the most fundamental forms of energy we know…

When I first got my dog Aegon, about two years ago, I walked him as most people -at least people of my generation- I believe walk their dogs, one hand in the leash, the other checking my phone, just looking up when crossing a street. Back then I was a stereotypical internet consumer, when I wasn’t studying or out with friends, I was either watching Netflix or checking Instagram. I didn’t really put much thought into why I, and so many people, are so enamored with screens that consume our time in this pale blue dot.

I continued that way…

The Big Bang, the massive creational event in which tremendous amounts of energy were released at the blink of an eye, creating the Universe as we know it, exploding from a stage so minuscule, that all its current vastness, could fit into a single atom. After it, came millions of years of hot and dense darkness, of nothingness, until temperatures lowered. These new temperatures created the path for the creation of the first elements, which in turn lead to molecules, and so on.

All these new elements and were wondering through the greatness of the infinite, then gravity started to…

Space, the dark thing we see at night in the sky, with the floating light bulbs. We barely give any attention to it, even though it can easily be the most interesting, real life sci-fi thing out there; plus, we live in an era where we’ve learned so much of it, Newton and Galileo would be very jealous. For this opening article, I will start off by providing some cool space facts that should blow your mind, seriously, if you’re not amazed by what I’m about to say, you should get checked up for lameness.

Fact #1: We are made…
